First RU Student to attendThe Phoenix Project Nonprofit Leadership & Social Entrepreneurship Program

Radford University student, Christine McCrimmon has been awarded the Target Corporation Scholarship by Jenna Pielocik, RU Career Coaching Club President.  Christine, a senior student majoring in Political Science with a minor in Management and a  concentration in Public Administration, will use the $2,000.00 scholarship to attend The Phoenix Project Nonprofit Leadership & Social Entrepreneurship Program (www.phoenixproject.org) . As the first RU student to be part of Virginia’s premier statewide training program for social entrepreneurship, Christine,  along with students from other Virginia colleges and universities,  will spend four  weeks in Petersburg, VA  applying her  knowledge and skills to help find solutions for critical community challenges.

Christine’s goals for the future are to  gain experience in the nonprofit sector and  to continue her education with a  Masters in Public Administration.
